Move Over Brittany!

That's right Brittany Spears! My baby is way worse at lip synching than you are... This was Corey one night after football practice. He may not have known all the words but he sure has some moves, don't you all agree? SO here's to you Corey.. My American Boy!!

P.S. Mom and Dad.. I took this video with the camera you gave me last year. Thanks. I love it and I use it all the time.

Friends

What would we do without our friends? I am sure that I would be lost! I know that being the mortals that we all are, there are times when we may disappoint or even hurt one another, but I think all that is worth it when it comes right down to it. Yesterday, Mia and I were able to attend the Stake Center for the General Relief Society Broadcast and it was the first time in a while that we have been able to spend time together.
I miss my friend but I am so happy that she has found Eric, well most days... yes mostly I am really happy. :-)
To all of you who I love, and even those of you who I just like..(haha) Please know that I miss you every day that we are not able to sit and chat or hug hello and goodbye. I am so thankful for everyone who touches my life. I do not know where I would be without you. Although, I have a pretty good idea and frankly, I do not even want to think about it. !!

The Asteroid

I know that all of you with children know what this is like, but since I was already logged on and this one really got me laughing.. I thought that I would share it with you. Uh Hum...

Corey: (enters mom's room crying and yelling) "Mom, Christian said that there is an asteroid headed toward earth right now."

Mom: "Corey, Christian is just messing with you, Ignore him and go take your shower."

Christian: (screaming from the other side of the house) But there is one coming, look it up.!"

Corey: "Mom, an asteroid? How big?"

Mom: " Corey, things are floating in space all the time, we are fine. Christian is just messing with you. Now go take your shower."

Corey: (as he stomps out of the room) " I am going to go smack him the face with my underwear!!"

Caleb: (Beating on his drum the whole time in the living room)

The End.. for about five minutes...

My Dad

I am reminded on a daily basis that my home is without a father. I am so happy that Christian and Larry are so close, but as Corey and Caleb get older, it becomes more and more difficult for me to watch them idolize their friends fathers. I love receiving every one's family pictures but when there is a husband / father in there, it makes me a little sad. This has weighed heavily on my heart lately and it makes me think of my dad. My father, who I love and respect more than my own breath. (Dad, if you read this, you should remember where that came from:-)

I will never understand why it takes me SO VERY VERY LONG to "get things" in my life. I will never be able to explain so many years worth of hurtful and STUPID actions on my part but what I do know is that now.. TODAY.. I am more grateful to my father for his patience, guidance, love and faith than I could have ever been before. Maybe that is what the circle of life is all about really. Just as my children are starting to hate me and be embarrassed by me, I am clinging to my parents.

I was reading something that Caleb had made in the first grade and it was about his "parents" I was in it of course but for the "father" section, he included my dad. He wrote about how he was 70 years old, he hated it when he choked him (?!@??) but loved it when they wrestled and played. For every one's information, I am pretty sure that he has never actually choked him. Wanted to... maybe... but never carried it through.

When my boys think of their father, they think of my father..(with the exception of Christian, of course) For that I am more grateful than anyone will ever know.

Dad,

Thank you for being so wonderful. You carry so much on your shoulders and yet you are always there for us. I only hope that one day I can love you and be there enough for you in return. Not that I want to one day change your diapers or anything but maybe we can work something else out.

Oh Yeah, and Mom, you know I love you too and I think you are the bomb diggity... I promise, you will star in your very own post very soon.

We love you all...

Here's to you, Uncle Simon...

oo

Today was a beautiful day. Christian was ordained a Teacher and Caleb was given the Aaronic priesthood and ordained a deacon. Of course Simon stepped in as he usually does for me and took care of them. He ordained them in Priesthood with Bishop Marlowe, Matt Brandt and Geo Fazzini (who are in the YM Presidency.) For my Mother, sisters and friends.. Have you ever been in Priesthood while they go through their opening announcements, etc? WOW.. those guys need some help. We spent ten minutes just talking about Simon's lack of hair! Yeah, I am serious. It was quite entertaining.

Caleb received his Primary certificate in Sacrament today and he has been interviewed to receive his Faith in God award. I do not know if my heart can be much more swollen with pride and love for my family as it is today. Boys.. I love you with all my heart and I am so proud of who you are becoming. Simon, words can not adequately express my gratitude to you and Mindi for all that you do for us.

Welcome to the GUN SHOW!!

Here they are... These four were bursting at the seams this afternoon when we got home from church. That's right, Corey has been inviting so many kids to go to church with us that I may have to invest in one of those vans that other churches drive around picking people up in! All three of his friends are going to be coming and participating in the Primary Program. It was so funny today in Sacrament... Well, let me explain. You see, on the way to church the boys were all singing in the car. I told them that I know they can sing so I expect to hear them singing during sacrament. They reluctantly agreed and boy did they keep their word. I wanted to tell them to keep it down but each of them held their own hymn book and went for it. All I could do is smile.
